Manjari

Manjari — a cluster of blossoms — is Binita Bhatta's first signature line, and the one the studio keeps returning to. A fitted kurti is worked all over with tiny gold butti sprigs, a flowering yoke at the neck and a scalloped vine along the hem, then paired with a soft, flared palazzo and a sheer organza dupatta finished with the same embroidered border.

It is drawn to be worn, not just admired: light georgette that moves, an easy silhouette that carries from a daytime gathering to an evening celebration, and embroidery set by hand so no two pieces are exactly alike. Each colorway keeps the pattern and changes only the ground — so the blossoms read differently in marigold, emerald, rani and indigo.

The yellow-and-peach — Marigold & Blush — is the one that travelled furthest: the most-loved of the collection, and the piece most often asked for by name. Every colorway is made to order in sleeveless or full sleeves.
